Makes apartments, offices, schools and shops clean and keeps rooms safe and pleasant for people.
Career overview
What a day looks like
The cleaner arrives at a site: an office, a school, a shop or an apartment, where a certain work plan is waiting. They wash floors, wipe surfaces, clean toilets and take out rubbish, choosing the right product for each surface. The work needs care and physical strength: a lot of walking, bending and working with the hands. Some cleaning products irritate the skin and breathing, so people usually wear gloves and read the instructions. A cleaner by another name is a professional cleaning service, where the word often means organised work: a schedule, agreements with the customer, attention to detail. When the job is done well, the cleanliness is noticed at once.
