How it works

From a conversation to a first step this week

TANYM doesn’t hand you a label. It listens to what you say, notices what gives you energy and suggests paths worth testing for real.

Step by step

What happens

  1. 01

    Honest about data

First we show what goes where, and we only ask your age. No name, no phone number, no school.
  2. 02

A chat in your own words

About 15 minutes. One question at a time: who you admire, when you lose track of time, a favourite story, what you’d change, what you’re good at. You can use your voice, say “I don’t know” or pause.
  3. 03

The AI notices — you decide

As you talk, the AI shows what it noticed, together with your quote, and asks: “Is this you?” You agree or not.
  4. 04

    Up to three paths

Fields worth testing. Each one has a “why it’s you” in your own words. If the evidence is still thin, it says so: “just one hint so far”.
  5. 05

    A 20–40 minute task

For each path, a small real thing to do: make a poster, take apart a favourite website, cook something from a recipe. That way you test real interest, not a guess.
  6. 06

    Tell us how it went

After the task you can say what you liked and what you didn’t. This sharpens the picture — and helps you see where to dig next.

Why no multiple choice

Because you’re not a tick box on a form

Ready-made options make you pick from what someone else came up with, and they often ask about jobs you’ve never seen. In a real conversation, what matters is what you actually do and how you talk about it.

  • It builds on what you’ve already tried: hobbies, chores at home, your own projects, favourite videos.
  • Every conclusion is shown with your quote — you can see where it came from.
  • You can disagree: “That’s not me” is a normal answer.
  • AI can make mistakes. So the ending isn’t a verdict but a task that tests the path in real life.

Data

What goes where

Short and honest. The full text is in the privacy policy.

  • In this browser

Conversation, result, task check-offs and settings.

History is cleared on the next visit after 30 inactive days. Settings remain; local data can be deleted earlier.

  • AI provider

Messages and the context needed to reply; selected attachments require separate permission.

The provider may process and retain requests abroad under its terms. Masking personal details is not guaranteed.

  • Voice when you choose it

Audio is sent to a server-side or browser speech recognition provider.

TANYM does not store source audio for research. The speech or browser provider processes it under its own rules.

  • Railway

Railway serves the website and API; Railway hosts the research database and, if needed, a separate backend.

The pilot is hosted outside Kazakhstan. Ratings require consent; hosting also processes technical request data.

What we don’t do

  • We do not require full names, contacts, schools or photos for a conversation. Attaching a file is voluntary.
  • We do not use answers for advertising profiles or sell conversations.
  • Consent to numerical ratings does not permit the team to read conversations. Conversation collection and detailed speed metrics are not enabled yet.

Example

This is what it looks like

A fragment of a pre-recorded example. This is not a real person.

Example · not a real person
  1. Mentor: A picture for every idea — that’s a great detail. What do you do in your free time, when no one makes you?
  2. Teen: I edit videos for my friends, and I lose track of time. Once I stayed up really late because I wanted the transitions to match the music.
  3. The AI noticed — is this you?

    getting it just right

“wanted the transitions to match the music”

A path to test

Visual stories and ads

Why this is you

  • You edit videos for your friends and lose track of time.

Your words: “I edit videos for my friends”

  • Ugly, confusing things annoy you — and you want to redo them.

Your words: “It annoys me when school notices look ugly and nobody reads them.”
