For school counsellors and teachers
Talking about careers — in class
TANYM helps every student put into words what gives them energy and leave the lesson with a concrete first step. No tests, no sign-up and no collection of personal data.
What a session could look like
About 15 minutes in class
This is an example plan, not strict instructions — adapt it to your class.
01
Introduction
Explain that this is a conversation with AI, not a test or an assessment. Taking part is voluntary, and any question can be skipped. Ask students not to write their name, school or contact details.02
Conversation
Each student takes part on a phone, tablet or computer and answers in their own words. Text input is all they need.03
Paths and a task
At the end, everyone has up to three paths to test and a 20–40 minute task they can do at home during the week.04
Short discussion
Anyone who wants to can share what surprised them. Nobody has to show their screen.
Student data
The school doesn’t get students’ answers
- No sign-up: no names, no emails, no phone numbers.
- History is saved in the student’s browser; messages are sent to the AI provider. Research ratings require separate consent and are stored on Railway outside Kazakhstan.
- The teacher doesn’t see the answers — only what the student decides to share.
- If a student is struggling, TANYM shows the helpline numbers 150, 111 and 112 and suggests talking to an adult. The service doesn’t monitor students and doesn’t replace the school counsellor.
Current pilot
School reports
The current pilot does not provide class reports. Schools do not receive students’ conversations or individual results through TANYM.
Pilot
We’re inviting schools to the pilot
If you’re a school counsellor, class teacher or deputy head and want to try TANYM with a class, write to us. We’ll explain how to prepare the session and what to tell parents, and together we’ll decide whether it suits your school.
Write about the pilot: fresk@byfresk.netWhat you’ll need
- Students aged 14 and over, or college students
- A phone, tablet or computer with internet access
